I stopped on the way between Hakone and Kawaguchiko, as you have to change bus there or at Gotemba station. I am not sure I would do a detour only for it as there is a lot of shopping options in Tokyo for example, but as I was passing by, I figured I could check around for a bit. I really liked the Nikon store, where I got an accessory I did not even knew existed (AH-4 hand grip).

The outlets are perhaps most famous for having a clear of view of Mt Fuji. The view is indeed spectacular, but overall as a mall it isn't the best around in my opinion. If you are visiting Gotemba for one of the several other attractions, it might be worth popping in, but I personally wouldn't recommend going out of your way to visit.
